Long story in short, I forgot to renew my lease and had to find the next apartment in a week. I sent the inquiry to multiple real estate agents. Luckily, one agent told me an apartment would be available on May 1.
I was so glad. Not only the next apartment was found, but also it was in Okinawa. I had been trying to be a resident in Okinawa for 3 years.
The agent sent me the instructions for identification check on the same day. I immediately replied with all the documents.
”Did you receive my email,” I couldn’t help sending such a direct question on the next morning. I did not hear from the agent. Usually the agent would acknowledge that all the required documents were received. I was worried if I could get the lease in time. I had just purchased the airline ticket to Okinawa on May 1.
”Yes, the email was received. Please wait for the identification check,” the agent on April 24.
”I will be arriving in Okinawa, but I haven’t received any replies. Could you please let me know if I can move in the apartment tomorrow?” I wrote on April 30.
I had been patient but no more. I waited an hour. Then, I booked a hostel and flew to Okinawa on the next day.
”Are you still looking for the apartment?” Finally, the agent replied at 6pm on May 2.
