"Welcome," the young waiter greeted when opened the glass sliding door .
"Excuse me," I had been hesitating outside the oyster barbeque restaurant, "is it okay to have the all-you-can-eat course one person?"
"Yes, come in please," the waiter turned around and shouted, "one customer arriving!"
Well, it's rare that I can have all-you-can-eat by one person. At least two people are required at most restaurants in Japan. Maybe the restaurant in countryside is more friendly.
I ordered 1 kg oyster in shell to start. Then, I took the chance to go to the toilet before the oyster arrived. I was gonna eat tons of oysters tonight.
There was a plate of oysters on the table when I came back, but so was the waiter kneeing down next to the table.
"I am very sorry that one person cannot have the all-you-can-eat course," said the waiter.
"Oh," I hesitated for a minute, "then, cancel it, please," I got out of the all-you-can-eat oyster barbeque restaurant when starving.
The photo is the lighthouse in Devil's Washboard in Miyazaki. It did not require two people to take the photo.
