Ogasawara Islands

”Wow!“ a woman shouted and pointed somewhere behind the dive guide. The dive guide just started the briefing but got interrupted.
It was a humpback whale repeatedly slapping the surface. There were so many whales around Ogasawara islands. The tour was for diving not whale watching, but we encounter whales everyday.
The whale got all the attention. Nobody would listen to the briefing, and the dive guide had to wait until the whale stopped slapping.
I did not listen to the briefing carefully because I did not have expectations from the dive. The whale still got my attention under water. I could constantly hear the whale singing. I could not help looking around for the whale. I knew the chance was very little but still hopping to see a whale underwater.
